You there! Welcome to my first blogpost!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Ruby, I am 18 years old and I live in the Netherlands. Honestly, I think I was born in the wrong country, because I've always dreamt of a life as a New Yorker. This is why see my future self living in New York, and I cannot wait to fulfill this promise to myself.

My greatest addictions are the following. I basically breathe music, it makes me feel comfortable and home. I'd describe my taste in music as indie/rock, or alternative if you want. Artists that I admire are Foster the People, Mumford and Sons, Coldplay, Florence + the Machine, Young the Giant, Two Door Cinema Club and so much more. Last Saturday I went to Mumford and Sons at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, and it was everything that I expected and even more. Those men make 'some fucking music', as they would say.

My second passion is traveling. In a few weeks, me and my friend are traveling through Europe by train for a whole month. I'm so excited, just the two of us and our backpacks, ready to explore other countries and cultures. We're going to Copenhagen, Berlin, Venice, probably Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon and Paris. Yes, that's one hell of a list for one month, but I'm sure it will be amazing.

And last but definitely not least, my great admiration for the fashion industry. The last few years, fashion has become some sort of a lifestyle to me. It is always on my mind. I spend my days browsing the internet, reading magazines and searching for unique streetstyle for new inspiration. On April 20th, I'm going to Amsterdam for my application at the AMFI, the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. And you could probably could say that I'm nervous as fuck. I couldn't think of another future than one in fashion, so this would be the perfect beginning of a whole new and exciting chapter in my life.
